Our Environmental Philosophy
Farmers and growers love the earth. For most of them, it is why they choose to do what they do. They appreciate sunshine and spring rains. They want to be outdoors watching things grow.
Unfortunately - It isn't that simple!
We are running out of water! Our population is growing too fast. There is global warming, El Nino's, insects creating their own immune systems and a myriad of other concerns that are making it harder and harder to be a grower or a farmer.
The products developed by GSI Horticultural were created to save a little water or reduce the amount of toxic chemicals going into the ground. It's a start.
Root-Zone really can reduce watering needs by 40% or more. It also conditions plants trees and grasses to be tougher against environmental stress. It has the added advantages of being completely safe, environmentally friendly and its primary ingredient is derived from agricultural products.
Moisturin is also a safe product that requires no registration with government agencies. The environmental advantages to Moisturin involve a reduced need for toxic chemicals.
Moisturin as a sticker can reduce the need for constant reapplication of pesticides and repellents. The latest results of some large-scale field test are now showing Moisturin to be effective at protecting plants without a need for any additional chemicals.
GSI Horticultural may not solve all the problems facing the horticultural industry but maybe the development of products like these will aim us down a road to where these problems can be eliminated or at least diminished.
